The Prom is a black-tie event open to all Young People that have engaged in our programme. It is a way for us to say thank you to all those involved in the process –Staff, multi-disciplinary teams, and Young People – all under one roof, for one night.
It is important to us that we create an environment to celebrate the success stories so this becomes just as much of the narrative as the well-documented shortcomings.
Throughout the programme, we collect qualitative and quantitative information from Young People, staff, and professionals. We review this information to provide insights on the overall experience, barriers to success, and what the Young People feel they need to be resilient.
We share this information with other stakeholders and professionals through a round table discussion the week after Prom.
The Prom is not just a party, it is the vehicle we have chosen to amplify the need for increased, targeted resources that go beyond institutionalised interventions.
